Arbitrum Nitro

Note

Deployed as a Docker container using docker compose. Configuration is managed through a docker-compose.yml Jinja2 template in the /host_vars folder.

Arbitrum Nitro is Offchain Labs’ L2 rollup node for the Arbitrum One network. It requires an Ethereum L1 execution RPC and beacon endpoint to operate.

Host variables

nitro_l1_rpc_url:

  • Required

  • L1 (Ethereum mainnet) execution RPC endpoint

nitro_l1_beacon_url:

  • Required

  • L1 (Ethereum mainnet) beacon chain endpoint (used for blob retrieval)

nitro_image_tag:

  • Optional, default to v3.10.2-db30ef0

  • Docker image tag for the offchainlabs/nitro-node image

nitro_init_mode:

  • Optional, default to pruned

  • Snapshot mode used to seed an empty database on first run.

  • Accepted values: pruned, archive
